Winter Haven Youth Council
The Winter Haven Youth Council is a program for high school juniors and seniors offering knowledge exchange opportunities and decision making involvement with key City personnel and officials. Up to twelve Winter Haven area students will be accepted through an application process. Requirements include an interest in municipal government, a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and a letter of recommendation.
Participants will be responsible for attending monthly meetings to learn about municipal government; they will serve in advisory capacity if necessary; and they will assist with the planning and implementation of activities of their choice in partnership with the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department.

Applications are due September 15, and the program will begin in October. Meetings will be held monthly in City Hall at 3 p.m. on scheduled days throughout the year. Additional meetings will be scheduled as needed.
