About Community Services:
In the simplest of terms,
the Community Services
Department is responsible
for providing core
day-to-day municipal
services to Winter Haven
residents and visitors. This
includes streets and
traffic; commercial and
residential garbage
collection; parks and
recreation; libraries;
cultural arts; protection
and preservation of the
Chain of Lakes and other
environmentally-sensitive
areas; stormwater management
and cemeteries.
The department's primary
goal is to provide
exceptional services in the
most efficient and effective
manner. Collectively, the
Community Services team is
responsible for:

Department
administration offices are
at City Hall, 451 Third St.
NW, and include the
Community Services Director
and the Administrative
Services Manager. The
remainder of the department
is broken down into four
primary divisions - Natural
Resources, Leisure Services,
Library Services and Public
Services.
