The Winter Haven Public Library presents the 2017-18 Lecture Series featuring: Florida Water Stories!

Join us for the kickoff event:  Boats of Boca Grande Pass: Tarpon Boat Builders and Their Captains, presented by Captain Sandy Melvin on behalf of the Boca Grande Historical Society.  There is a rich history associated with the tarpon sport fishing industry and the boats used to catch them are a significant part of that history.  A full time professional since 1987 specializing in night Tarpon fishing, Sandy will share stories about boats frequently seen in the Pass, their builders, and Captains.
