Election Information

General Information

Elections for City Commission occur in odd-numbered years on the first Tuesday after the first Monday in November. If a Run-Off election is needed, it would occur the first Tuesday in December.

The City Clerk serves as the supervisor of elections for all City elections.

Qualifications to Run for City Commission

All requirements must be met:

  • Be a registered voter
  • Be a registered voter in Polk County
  • Live within the City limits of Winter Haven at the time of qualifying

Qualifying begins Noon, September 18, 2017 and ends Noon, September 22, 2017
