City Election Candidate Packet Available Online

All candidates for the City of Winter Haven November 3, 2015, City Commission election must qualify. The qualifying period begins at noon, Monday, September 14, and ends at noon, Friday, September 18. All required documentation needed to campaign for election to the City Commission is available HERE. Garbage Collection Changing to 1 Day a Week

In January 2015, the City's Solid Waste Unit began a phased implementation of a One-Day-a-Week garbage collection. (Recycling and yard trash service will not be affected.) The first phase of the program includes residents living in the Southeast and Southwest sections of the City only. 2014 Citizen Efficiency Report Final

The 2014 Citizen Efficiency Committee Final Report was presented to City Commissioners Monday, August 25, 2014. While the report shows there is room for improvement, over all, the report shows the City of Winter Haven is moving forward to improve efficiency, transparency and develop alternative revenue streams. As of Thursday, 8/13/2015 at 9:50 a.m.,the following public notices have been issued: Lake Marie Blvd.
