Newly elected City Commissioners were sworn into office at the October 22 City Commission meeting. Mayor Nat Birdsong, Commissioner Jeff Potter and newly elected Commissioner J.P. Powell took the oath of office for the first time. Commissioners serve a four-year term. Birdsong was reelected as Mayor and Commissioner Mike Easterling was reelected as Mayor Pro-Tem.
