Welcome to the City of Winter Haven website. I am proud of our community and all it has to offer both residents and visitors. More than 34,000 people call Winter Haven home, taking advantage of our year-round recreational climate and central location. Winter Haven is known as the Chain of Lakes City, with 50 lakes covering eight square miles, boat ramps, public docks and 30 waterfront parks, there is a multitude of opportunities for our water enthusiasts.

Should you decide to personally experience our City, you will find beautiful green spaces including nature parks and trails, historic neighborhoods, state-of-the-art medical facilities and rapidly emerging technology hubs that are fully supported by Winter Haven’s Polk State College. With a host of special events and activities from cycling to symphonic performances, our downtown is a pedestrian friendly place, home to unique shops, one-of-a-kind restaurants, a beautiful park with unique sculpture displays stretching three blocks, a 32,000-square-foot Public Library and a healthy business district.
