If tennis is your swing, we have the place for you. The Winter Haven Tennis Courts offers 11 lighted hard courts. In addition, the facility has qualified staff to help you net the top level of your game. Leagues, group and private lessons, open play and a well stocked pro-shop are all available.


Hours of Operation:

Monday through Friday
8 a.m. - 9 p.m.

Saturday
8 a.m. - noon; noon - 6 p.m.*

Sunday

8 a.m. - 6 p.m.*

*Courts open, pro shop and restrooms closed. 

Closed on holidays as observed by the City.


Court Fees:

Resident $1.25 per hour
Non-Resident $2.50 per hour
Junior (under 18) 75 cents per hour

After 6 p.m. all fees increase by 75 cents per hour.

Afterschool Lessons

The goal of these programs is to introduce children to the basics of tennis. Forehand, backhand, serves, volleys and scoring will be taught. Fees are per four week session.

4 and 5 year olds

Junior Team Tennis

USTA Jr. Team Tennis brings kids together in teams to play singles, doubles and mixed doubles against other teams.  It promotes social skills and important values by fostering a spirit of cooperation and unity, as well as individual self-growth.  Also, it is a fun environment for kids in which they learn that succeeding is really more about how to play the game - win or lose.  Call Winter Haven Tennis Courts for more information.

Evening Tennis Leagues
This evening league is for men and women of all levels of play.  Men's and Women's singles play Thursday evenings.  Men's and Women's doubles play Monday evenings.  Men's and Women's Mixed Doubles play Tuesday evenings.  Please call for schedules.

Mixed Doubles Tennis
This is a social round robin for all levels of play.  You do not need a partner to participate.

Cost: $2/hr resident, $3.25 non-resident

Polk County Tennis Association (PCTA)
PCTA ladies' league starts in January and will play through March.  Ladies of all ability levels are welcome; teams are divided by level of play.  Schedules are available by contacting the Winter Haven Tennis Courts. 
Cost: $35 plus balls for the season

Evening and weekend private lessons are available.  Please call the Tennis Courts to schedule.
