Winter Haven Recreational
and Cultural Center is
located in Winter Haven's
northeast community. The
facility has a playground, two lighted
youth baseball/softball
fields, an indoor gymnasium,
two outdoor basketball
courts, a 25-meter pool,
physical conditioning
facilities (both free
weights and machines), a
meeting room, kitchen
facility, a game room and a
conference room. This
facility offers numerous
activities for youth and
adults including
after-school and summer
youth programs, a community
youth band program and
rental opportunities.
The Winter Haven
Recreational and Cultural
Center pool is open in the
summer from mid-May through
Labor Day. Programs offered
include open swimming from 1
- 5 p.m. seven days a week
and swim lessons. The pool
is ‘L’ shaped, measuring 25
yards x 25 meters.

A safe place for teens to meet new friends, enjoy fun activities, down time for socializing, theme nights, dancing, creative cooking, and more.

Back to School Pool Bash
The Bash features swimming, refreshments, and water safety tips. Kids can relax and enjoy an afternoon of planned activities as the summer comes to a close.

Exercise Programs:
Fitness Center
Come take advantage of the
fitness center at Winter
Haven Recreational and
Cultural Center. The
facility has two fitness
rooms, one that features
free weights and the other
features weight machines,
which are great for the
novice fitness enthusiast.
Staff is on site to assist
if help is needed with the
machines.
Netball
Netball is a women's sport, which is a fast skillful team game based on running, jumping, throwing and catching.
Ages: Girls 15 and older
Day: Thursday
Time: 6:30 - 8 p.m.

Open Gym Basketball
Come play pick up basketball. Gym availability is based on programming.
Fee: Free
Youth Programs:
Baton Twirling
Baton twirling is an activity involving coordination of routines to help develop sportsmanship, confidence and leadership abilities and competition participation.
Ages: 5 and older
Day: Thursday
Time: 6 - 7 p.m.
Fee: $25/month Resident
$35/month Non-resident
After School Program
Transportation is provided
upon request to the
following schools: Garner
Elementary, Brigham Academy
and Elbert Elementary. Our
program provides after
school homework assistance,
and recreational activities.

Ages: K-8th grade
Time: 3-5:30 p.m.
Fee: $20/month resident, $30/month non-resident
School's Out Camp
No place to send your child when school is out? Send them to Winter Haven Recreational and Cultural Center! WHRCC provides supervised fun during public school holidays and teacher work days. There will be arts and crafts, educational activities, sports, games, music and more. The children will have a blast and the price can't be beat. You may register at any time during the school year. Participants must bring their own lunch and snacks.

Youth Recreation Board
Participants will meet to
discuss issues, plan events
for their age group and get
involved in the community.

Kids Night of Fun
Bring your child to WHRCC for an evening of fun! They will enjoy games, activities and refreshments while you can leave and enjoy an evening to yourself. Participants must register no later than two days before program date.
