NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS (Date Change)

CITY OF WINTER HAVEN

Notice is hereby given that at its Regular City Commission Meeting, the Winter Haven City Commission will hold  SECOND READINGS-PUBLIC HEARINGS on the proposed ordinances set forth below  at 6:00 p.m. or soon thereafter Monday, December 14, 2020 January 11, 2021.

 (THESE ITEMS HAVE BEEN MOVED TO THE JANUARY 11, 2021 CITY COMMISSION MEETING)

The connection information for members of the public who wish to attend or participate in the Public Hearings via the Zoom virtual platform may be obtained by accessing the City’s website at http://mywinterhaven.com.   For persons wishing to attend the Public Hearings via the Zoom virtual platform, please insure that all registration and system requirements in order to connect to the Public Hearings via the Zoom virtual platform have been satisfied prior to the above mentioned date and time.

The public who wish to physically attend and participate in the Public Hearings may also come to the Nora Mayor Hall at the Florida Citrus Building located at 500 Third Street, N.W., Winter Haven, Florida, which will be open for members of the public on the above-mentioned date and time.  Social distancing and other Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Florida Department of Health (FDOH) guidelines pertaining to COVID-19 will be followed and observed.

The public is also invited to listen or watch the City Commission Meeting by visiting https://facebook.com/winterhaven.florida/ where the meeting will be live streamed.

All interested parties may appear at the meeting in the manners described above and be heard with respect to the proposed ordinances:

ORDINANCE NO.  O-20-34

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA, BY ASSIGNING PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT ZONING DISTRICT TO TWO ANNEXED PARCELS; PROVIDING FOR ADMINISTRATIVE CORRECTION OF SCRIVENER’S ERRORS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. (General Location: Two parcels located approximately 300 feet north of Dundee Road and approximately 975 feet east of Sage Road.  The area covered by this request is 90.91± acres.)

ORDINANCE NO.  O-20-45

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 21 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF WINTER HAVEN, FLORIDA, TO AMEND PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT ORDINANCE O-12-15; PROVIDING FOR ADMINISTRATIVE CORRECTION OF SCRIVENER’S ERRORS; REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. (General Location: Twelve parcels generally located east and west of Logistics Parkway, approximately 1,300 feet north of Old Bartow Lake Wales Road.  The area covered by this request is 932± acres.)

ORDINANCE NO.  O-20-46

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. O-19-42 APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS FOR DEFRAYING THE EXPENSES OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE CITY OF WINTER HAVEN FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2019, PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

If any person decides to appeal any decision made by the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at such hearings, he/she will need a record of the proceeding and for such purpose he/she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceeding is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based (F.S. 286.0105). Please be advised individuals must make their own arrangements to produce this record.

The City Commission may continue the public hearings to other dates and times as it deems necessary.  Any interested party shall be advised that the date, time and place of any continuation of these or continued public hearings may be announced during the hearings and that no further notices regarding such matters may be published.
