To further engage with the community, City Manager Mike Herr has announced a Community Conversation Series. The first of this drop-in style meeting series will be held Friday, June 7 anytime between 9 – 11 a.m. at the Winter Haven Recreational and Cultural Center, located at 801 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard.

Area residents are asked to attend to share ideas, thoughts and concerns they may have to better serve the community and help Winter Haven continuously improve. This will be an opportunity to ask questions and learn more about projects and the focus of the City. There is no registration, no cost, and no appointments are needed. Good conversation is the only item on the agenda.

City Manager Mike Herr is excited about this opportunity. He recently stated, “There’s a lot happening in Winter Haven right now, and I think it’s very important to reach out to our citizens to learn more about their interests and to help answer any questions they may have. By extending opportunities for meaningful conversations into our neighborhoods, I am hopeful to hear from the people we serve every day and learn more about their needs and opinions.”

Additional Community Conversation dates and locations will be announced later in the year. To learn more about this series or if you have questions, please contact Assistant to the City Manager Donna Sheehan at 291-5600 or email at
