WINTER HAVEN CHAIN OF LAKES FIELDHOUSE TO BECOME ADVENTHEALTH FIELDHOUSE

Posted December 9th, 2019

The City of Winter Haven and the Lakeland Magic have announced a multi-year agreement with AdventHealth to become the naming rights partner of the new Chain of Lakes Fieldhouse. Through the partnership, the new 83,300 square foot facility will become the “AdventHealth Fieldhouse.”

City Commissioners were presented with the proposal at the December 9 Regular City Commission meeting.  After much discussion a 5-0 vote resulted in this partnership.

The AdventHealth Fieldhouse will serve as the practice facility for the Lakeland Magic, NBA G League affiliate of the Orlando Magic, and will host Lakeland Magic home practices and several team related events.

With a prime location along U.S. Route 17 and Cypress Gardens Boulevard, the fieldhouse will serve as a primary gateway to the city and operate as a regional destination for hosting major events right here in Polk County. The multi-use gymnasium space with second-floor observation area is the perfect facility for large sports competitions (basketball, volleyball, gymnastics, cheerleading, etc.) and other similar convention-related events.  Polk County Sports Marketing will bring over 40 events per year to the AdventHealth Fieldhouse beginning in December.

The official grand opening of the AdventHealth Fieldhouse is scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2020.
