Join us for our 5th annual lecture series! This year’s theme, Florida: A Crash Course, features scholars from across the state and beyond speaking on relevant topics that define Florida.
The second event in the series features Gary Mormino presenting, Ten Foods that define Florida. In his presentation, Dr. Mormino will discuss the most iconic foods that define the Sunshine State and how they came to be. Gary Mormino is the Frank E. Duckwall Florida Professor of History Emeritus at USF St. Petersburg and teaches a class in food history at the University of South Florida.
