The department is excited to announce the hiring of five new firefighters: Ryan Chodazeck, Pedro Jimenez, Devyn Lewis, Kevin Robaina, and Avery Tolley. They just completed five weeks of continuous orientation which started on January 4, 2021. It entailed training on practical firefighting and medical skills. They have learned all the policies and procedures of the department, and have been given a firm foundation on which to continue a successful career as a Winter Haven Firefighter. On Monday February 8th, they will start working on their respective shifts where they will utilize their skills to help our department provide the best care to the community.

All new hires are certified with the State of Florida as Firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians/Paramedics. The department welcomes them and is excited they chose to start their career with us.
