Classes Offered
- Parent & Child (6 month – 2 years old)
- Preschool Aquatics (3-5 years old)
- Learn-to-Swim: Levels 1-6 (6 years old & up)
- Adult Classes
Safety Precautions
- Class size will be no more than eight participants.
- Class duration will be 30 minutes.
Class Schedule
All classes will be held at the Rowdy Gaines Olympic Pool. Class times with an asterisk(*) denotes that the class time will also be offered at the WHRCC Pool.
Session 1: (June 5 – June 16)

Session 2: (June 19 – June 30)
- Class Times:
- AM: 8:30*, 9:10*, 9:50, 10:30, 11:10, 11:50
- PM: 5:30, 6:10, 6:50
Session 3: (July 3 – July 14)

Fees
Fees listed are per session.
- Residents: $35
- Non-Residents: $44
Residents must provide two proofs of residency. Any combination of driver’s license, water bills, electric bills, or voter ID.
Registration Dates
- Session 1: (June 5 – June 16)
- Registration: Starts May 30th and Ends June 2nd
- Online link to register will open up at 10:00 am and close at 4:00 pm daily throughout the registration dates.
- Session 2: (June 19 – June 30)
- Registration: Starts June 13th and Ends June 16th
- Online link to register will open up at 10:00 am and close at 4:00 pm daily throughout the registration dates.
- Session 3: (July 3 – July 14)
- Registration: Starts June 27th and Ends June 30th
- Online link to register will open up at 10:00 am and close at 4:00 pm daily throughout the registration dates.
- Session 4: (July 17 – July 28)
- Registration: Starts July 11th and Ends July 14th
- Online link to register will open up at 10:00 am and close at 4:00 pm daily throughout the registration dates.
Registration Process Information
- Due to each class only allotting a certain amount of spots, classes will be based on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- Once you submit the waiver, you will be put on a waitlist.
- Waivers are time-stamped on the waitlist in the order that they are submitted.
- If you want to enroll more than one person in swim lessons, you must fill out a waiver for each participant and submit it. The time-stamp from the first participant’s application will be used for each additional participant.
- ALL fields on the waiver must be filled out in order for the waiver to be submitted.
- If you are a City of Winter Haven resident, you must upload two proofs of residency with the waiver. EX: Drivers License, Water Bill, Electric Bill, voters ID.
- If you do not have two of the following proofs of residency, call the office at (863)-268-6766 for approval of another form.
- Once the Aquatic staff starts receiving waivers, we will then begin calling individuals to discuss the class, class time, and participant’s abilities in the water to ensure you’re signing up for the correct class.
- The phone call will also consist of the staff fully registering the participant and taking payment.
- Please note that if the staff is unable to reach you via phone call, you will have 24 hours to respond, or your spot will be given to the next person in line.
