Another Search Warrant Following Tips of Drug Sales Takes A Significant Amount of Drugs Off the Street.
On 8-26-2022, members of the Winter Haven Police Department served a warrant at an Ave. E SE address in Winter Haven where 17-year-old Zachary Depuy was detained. (Please note the 17 year-old is being identified due to three Felony counts.) The warrant was obtained after numerous tips were received of narcotic sales by Depuy from the location.
Depuy was located in a bedroom of the residence that he confirmed was his. Inside of the room, a black backpack was discovered with multiple baggies of a marijuana. Other smaller baggies contained a white rock-like substance that presumptively tested positive for cocaine. An additional baggie with 51 pills were also located with an identifier imprinted on the pill that is identified as Oxycodone. Due to past investigations that uncovered fake Oxycodone pills being sold in the Winter Haven area, the pills were swabbed ultimately testing positive for Fentanyl and Heroin.
The residence is located 723 feet from Brigham Academy.
A total of 15.9 grams of cocaine, 16 ounces of Marijuana, 90 grams of what are believed to be “shrooms” (being sent to FDLE for confirmation) and 28.7 grams of Fentanyl were recovered from Depuy’s room. Additionally, Depuy is on probation for possession of a firearm by a minor.
“Our dedication in continuing to go after these subjects who are endangering the public with these lethal drugs will not waver,” said Police Chief David Brannan. “We appreciate the public in sending in these tips and we will continue to investigate every tip fully.”
Depuy was placed under arrest and charged with the following:

Possession of Cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school: F1
Possession of Cannabis within 1,000 feet of a school: F2
