Attempted 2nd Degree Warrant

WINTER HAVEN – Winter Haven Police have obtained an arrest warrant for 53 year-old Jeremie Pierre on charges of Attempted Second Degree Murder after he attacked his adult stepson in their Winter Haven home.

On 1-28-16 at approximately 11 p.m., Pierre attacked his stepson, 21 year-old Tavarus Harrison with a knife at their residence, located at 1841 3rd St., NW in Winter Haven. Harrison was treated at Winter Haven Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries and released.

According to Harrison, he was trying to enter the residence that he shares with Pierre, but a verbal altercation ensued. Once Harrison was inside, the pair got into a physical altercation, ultimately leading to Pierre attacking Harrison with a knife. Harrison received multiple deep lacerations to both of his hands along with a bite mark on his forearm.

Harrison was able to break free and run from the residence and call law enforcement. Pierre left prior to officers arriving on scene. He has not been located at this time.
