Waiver of Penalties and Service Interruptions

The City of Winter Haven understands you and your family may be experiencing some challenges as a result of Hurricane Irma’s recent visit to our area and we decided we needed to help. In preparation for the storm’s arrival and to assist your family in preparing, we postponed disconnecting service on delinquent accounts.

Now that the storm has passed, we’d like to take our efforts a step further by continuing to delay disconnections for accounts until September 25. All delinquent amounts must be posted to your account on or before 5:00 pm September 22 to prevent service disruption.

As another way of assisting our customers, we have waived late fees for the remainder of this month for utility accounts with September due dates. Late fees will begin again Monday, October 9 for any unpaid balances due on or before October 6.
