The City of Winter Haven is accepting applications to fill a vacancy on its Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board. The CRA Board was established by Resolution R-00-07, adopted by the City Commission at its Regular City Commission Meeting, March 13, 2000 and amended by Resolution R-01-09 to expand from five (5) members to seven (7) members at its Regular City Commission meeting, April 9, 2001.
The Board consists of seven (7) members with five (5) members being City Commissioners and two (2) appointed from the public by the governing body. These two (2) appointed members must reside in or be engaged in business, which means owning a business, practicing a profession, or performing a service for compensation, or serving as an officer or director of a corporation or other business entity, within the City. Appointed members shall serve four (4) year terms.
This board meets quarterly (March, June, September and December – unless otherwise noted), the second Monday at 5:00 p.m. at the Winter Haven City Hall, John Fuller Auditorium, 451 Third Street, NW.
