Currently under construction, the Winter Haven Recreation & Cultural Center (WHRCC) will be a modern, state-of-the-art facility designed to serve as a vibrant community hub for recreation, wellness, learning, and cultural enrichment. Spanning 37,616 square feet, the facility includes 20,000 square feet of general-use space and a 17,616-square-foot double gymnasium designed for open play and community events.

WHRCC will offer a wide range of indoor and outdoor amenities, including:

Indoor Amenities:

•    Double Gymnasium with two full basketball courts and four volleyball courts

•    Recreation Programming Space for classes, events, and activities

•    Fitness Center with updated equipment for all levels

•    Activities Room for creative programs and gatherings

•    Branch Library, Learning & Technology Areas supporting literacy and digital learning

•    Caterer's Kitchen & Concession Space to support events and community functions

Outdoor Amenities:

•    New Swimming Pool with zero-depth entry for accessibility and family fun

•    Interactive Splashpad and Modern Playground

•    Outdoor Sport Court for basketball and pickleball use

•    Outdoor Pavilion, Picnic Areas and Open Green Spaces

•    Expanded Parking to accommodate large-scale events and daily use

Youth Programs

After School Program: FULL - Waiting List Available

The After School Program that has been hosted by the Winter Haven Recreation and Cultural Center will be at Rotary Park Clubhouse, 350 6th St NE, for the 2025-2026 school year. After-school homework assistance and recreational activities are provided. Transportation is available from Garner Academy, Brigham Academy, Elbert Elementary, and Jewett School of the Arts upon request.

School's Out Camp

No place to send your child when school is out?  Your child will receive supervised fun during public school holidays and teacher workdays. Activities include arts and crafts, games, sports, and more. Registration for each session begins one week prior to the school holiday and teacher work day. Participants must bring their own lunch and snacks. The children will have a blast, and the price can't be beaten! Call 291-5675 for more information.
